tag cross-domain

www.TheOpenAlgorithm.com or www.TheOpenAlgorithm.com/about A clever use for the Rel Canonical tag that has been talked a lot about by Google and other SEO experts. Basically if you duplicate content across two domains that you own and target different countries you may be penalized for this duplicate content. By using the Rel Canonical Tag to point to the -best- article-page-post you can ensure that the most important article is shown to the search engine user and also gives you a significant chance of having both show up to their respective target markets.

www.SERoundtable.com - This week in search, I announce that I am hosting SMX SphinnCon Israel on March 7, 2010 in Jerusalem. Google announced the support for cross domain canonical tags. There may have been a Toolbar PageRank penalty earlier this week. Google may add PDF support to fetch as Googlebot. Google dropped Answers.com for their own definitions. Google is testing infinite scroll in image search. Bing might add "page score" to their toolbar. MSNBot crawls pages twice, once for compressed http and one for uncompressed. Google's new QR codes on the favorite places maps decals are sending users to wrong business, likely because of QR scanners and not Google. Google messed up the AdSense reporting again. Yahoo Search Marketing ads went down for a short period of time. Google is now in the URL shortening business with goo.gl. Google may buy Yelp for $500 million. Google is inviting publishers for Christmas lunch. Google's Im Feeling Lucky button does the New Year countdown. Google did a Doodle for Zamenhof. Google forgot about The Simpons 20th birthday, a shame. That was this past week at the Search Engine Roundtable. bflicker from Los Angeles, CA asks: "If we were to syndicate my written content (entire articles) to multiple domains then would we be able to use the imminent cross-domain link rel="canonical" tag to confirm which site we would like to index for a given piece of content?" Note: This video was recorded on December 4, 2009. We have since officially announced support for cross-domain uses of rel="canonical". www.seroundtable.com - This week, I got sick during SMX East, which made for a pretty poor sounding video - so I apologize for my voice. We did cover 33 or so sessions at SMX East, which had a ton of useful and fun materials presented. I also posted the October 2009 Google Webmaster report. Google will allow cross domain canonical tag use. Did Google give the White House a "hand job" in the search results? AdSense login problems plague publishers. Google fades in the home page, which I think is ridiculous. Yahoo said they no longer use the meta keywords tag. Google proposes new way to crawl AJAX. iGoogle theme NoBama is racist and I get blamed for it. Did you see the Google bar code Doodle? That was this past week at the Search Engine Roundtable.

Google Tech Talks September, 5 2007 ABSTRACT Statistical language processing tools are being applied to an ever-wider and more varied range of linguistic data. Researchers and engineers are using statistical models to organize and understand financial news, legal documents, biomedical abstracts, and weblog entries, among many other domains. Because language varies so widely, collecting and curating training sets for each different domain is prohibitively expensive. At the same time, differences in vocabulary and writing style across domains can cause state-of-the-art supervised models to dramatically increase in error. This talk describes structural correspondence learning (SCL), a method for adapting models from resource-rich source domains to resource-poor target domains. SCL uses unlabeled data from both domains to induce a common feature representation for domain adaptation. We demonstrate SCL for two NLP tasks: sentiment classification and part of speech tagging. For each of these tasks, SCL significantly reduces the error of a state-of-the-art discriminative model. Speaker: John Blitzer

This is another two guitar set: the same tele but, this time with a Les Paul on the R channel and I added one more harmonic note on a bar, sped the tempo up to 134bpm from 128, and added another tag after the original one, just to see what it sounds like itself, not that it makes any musical song-structural sense. This is a study in GP6, not a tune. My apologies to the artist who made this lovely silouhette of The Holy Nativity. It might be public domain, I forgot if it is necessarily so. If not, I will change it if anyone complains!

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org Meet John Doe is a 1941 comedy drama film directed and produced by Frank Capra and starring Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck. The film, about a "grassroots" political campaign, created unwittingly by a newspaper columnist and pursued by a wealthy businessman, became a box office hit and was nominated for an Academy Award for best original story (for Richard Connell and Robert Presnell Sr.). Though the film is less well known than other Capra classics, it remains highly regarded today. It was ranked #49 in AFI's 100 Years... 100 Cheers. The film is now in the public domain. Infuriated at being told to write one final column after being laid off from her newspaper job, Ann Mitchell (Barbara Stanwyck) prints a letter from a fictional unemployed "John Doe," threatening suicide on Christmas Eve in protest of society's ills. When the note causes a sensation and the paper's competition suspects a fraud and starts to investigate, the newspaper editor rehires Mitchell who comes up with a scheme of hiding the fictional nature of "John Doe" while exploiting the sensation caused by the fake letter to boost the newspaper's sales, for which she demands a bonus equal to 8 months' pay. After reviewing a number of derelicts who have shown up at the paper claiming to have penned the original suicide letter, Mitchell and editor Henry Connell (James Gleason) hire John Willoughby (Gary Cooper), a former baseball player and tramp who is in need of money <b>...</b>

Up until now I hadn't made a video where I tried to sing. It probably should have stayed that way. But hey, it's my first original song. Notes: 1. I realize most feminists don't think all men are jerks. 2. Kids, it's not right to give some one the middle finger...unless that person is Hitler. Lyrics: When I was a young man I lost my way Didn't know what to do Didn't know what to say The world's so big I gotta make it shrink Wanna find some one who'll tell me what to think Oh, I need to choose Which ism to pick So many isms will do the trick Theres patriotism, racism and feminism works if you think all men are super-huge jerks When it comes to religion You can't go wrong There's a million-billion isms To help you find god There's Taoism Buddhism, Hinduism too, And of course there's Judaism For all the Jews. omnism says religions are swell. Atheism says there's no heaven or hell Even Catholicism has its cross to bare And there's always agnosticism If you just don't care In the world of politics Ism are in need in They'll tell you how to vote And they'll tell you how to lead There's Socialism, Marxism And Capitalism bucks And there's always anarchism 'cause government sucks. Fascism's best If your ruler is fair Communism's great If you just like to share Even imperialism has a pace in the world And Libertarianism is ... Actually I don't really know what the point of libertarianism is. I think it has something to do with not wanting to pay taxes on your LSD. Any way... When <b>...</b>

If you're going to explain everything, you need a good paradigm. And the paradigm that Harry Palmer, the author of the Avatar® materials, illustrates in this talk can help us to structure the history and evolution of life. When we superimpose it on consciousness, personal development, human evolution, societies, spiritual paths, governments, religions, just about anything, it will reveal new insights. Most respected teachers will tell you that the most important undertaking of life is the journey that you make across the three domains of Animal, Intellectual, and Spiritual Consciousness. Using his new paradigm, Harry examines the transition from Animal Consciousness to Intellectual Consciousness and the complex interactions that occur between them. He also discusses the light at the end of the tunnel that is the transition to Spiritual Consciousness. This talk was recorded live at the September 2009 Master Course in Lake Mary, Florida.

Calgary's City Council sessions are recorded by the city for live broadcast (on SHAW channel 94, and a Windows Media stream), but NOT as a historical archive. This recording of Council's November 8th session was captured and uploaded to YouTube to illustrate how Nenshi's "Better Idea #8" (a more transparent City Council) can be achieved economically and efficiently. THIS VIDEO / SONG SOUNDS BEST WHEN VIEWED IN HD (High Definition-the hottest video resolution). We use HD to give you the best Christian music video experience possible. A free MP3 of this Christian song is available for free download at www.BrandtMorain.com in the best music format possible (True CD quality -- 320Kbps). YouTube formats do NOT give you the best music video quality. YouTube is not CD quality. Sample audio of our other songs are also available. Band / Group Details: Our new Debut CD "Volume One" has had great reviews and articles from Music Review, USA Today, Alternative Press Magazine as well as contributing writers for top publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine. Our album has received substantial Radio Airplay in Phoenix AZ and Albany NY as the official music for two radio talk shows on stations KFNX 100 and Talk 1300 AM, some of the hottest radio stations in their market. Brandt Morain "Volume One" is comprised of multiple genres including 1970-80's style Rock, Country, A Capella, Christian / Religious, a song that makes fun of Rap, Easy Listening and a few recordings that defy categorization. In order to bring you the best Christian music possible, our recording philosophy omits recording industry "innovations" such as Autotune. These devices damage a recording artists performance in our opinion, producing sterile results that have destroyed the quality of some of the best Christian songs and other great music in the industry.
